At PHP, we live our commitment to foster an environment of respect and inclusion for all employees, members, families, and stakeholders. That’s why we have a Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion And Belonging Officer who oversees a dedicated team that ensures the organizational strategy contributes to a culture of belonging. 

A Lens of Inclusion

Analyzing the employee and member journeys through a lens of inclusion, gathering direct employee and member input, and keeping up to date with trends and best practices all inform a robust action plan to support ongoing initiatives.

Those initiatives cover diversity recruiting, employee education, enhanced policies and procedures, community outreach, and more.

The diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy at PHP is further supported by a DEIB Council and Steering Committee comprised of passionate employees at every level who volunteer their time to support increased organizational DEIB maturity.

With an overall goal of building an environment that acknowledges and celebrates cultural aspects and diverse identities within the workforce—empowering voice and choice—the primary goals are to:

  • Attain unity and transparency throughout the organization;

  • Nourish innovation across the workforce; and,

  • Increase connections with employees, members, families, and the communities we serve.
