On July 20, 2021, Partners Health Plan (PHP) presented at this year’s Self–Advocacy Association of NY State’s (SANYS) Long Island Regional Conference for members, which consists of adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) who serve as self-advocates, many of whom live independently.
PHP’s presentation, “Taking Charge of Your Health,” included information on how be involved in your healthcare decisions, how to plan for future healthcare needs, and how to ensure that your goals and choices are being considered.
At this year’s conference, Partners Health Plan’s Scott Doolan, Director of Healthcare Programs, Karleen Haines, Chief of Member Relations and Advocacy, and Diane Marrone, Chief of Care Coordination, were pleased to co-present on these topics with Jessica Campbell, a PHP member who is both a PHP Advisory Board member and SANYS employee.
